Happy Labor Day! Today is a chance to honor the labor movement and its leaders who have fought tirelessly for workers’ rights throughout our nation’s history. Workers are truly the backbone of our economy, and country as a whole.

From weekends to the 40-hour work week, health care and sick leave, minimum wage, workplace safety protections, and more – we owe so much to the tenacity and dedication of the labor movement.

While we celebrate the sacrifices that made those achievements possible, we must also acknowledge the work ahead to continue fighting for working families.

I’m proud to have earned endorsements from labor groups like IBEW Local 47, IBEW Local 441, Teamsters Joint Council 42, IUPAT District Council 36, National Union of Healthcare Workers, Orange County Employees Association, Orange County Labor Federation, SEIU, UFCW Local 324 – and incumbent Rep. Katie Porter, a longtime champion of workers’ rights.

I’m running to represent CA-47 to fight for our shared priorities from job creation, to higher wages, safe workplace conditions, equal opportunity, and more.

I hope you’ll join me in recommitting to a future of shared prosperity for all.

Thanks for all you do.

– Dave

P.S. Thanks to everyone who stepped up to help us hit our August fundraising goal! I’m endlessly grateful for your continued support, and I’m looking forward to all we will accomplish together on the road ahead.
