Last year, the House passed the PAWS Act -- a bill providing funding for service dogs for veterans.
But unfortunately, like so many common-sense reforms, this bill has joined hundreds of others piled up on Mitch McConnell’s desk without a scheduled vote in sight.

Why wouldn’t a bill that helps wounded veterans and dogs find homes be a measure we can agree on? Mitch McConnell hasn’t lifted a finger for our middle-class families, seniors or environment, and now he’s turning his back on our veterans and animals. We can’t allow this to be the standard. We won’t allow every single bill -- even the most common-sense and widely supported bills like the PAWS Act -- die in the Senate.
