This Labor Day, I want to honor the hard-working union members I work with every day.

Today, I'm thinking of our hard-working firefighters, dispatchers, first responders, police officers, state patrol, and support teams fighting our devastating wildfires.

As commissioner of public lands, I couldn't be more honored to work alongside the hard-working union members who keep our state safe.

Washington has long been a leader in the Labor movement, serving as a blueprint for workers' rights and job creation. I'm fighting to continue this legacy because I know we can overcome our greatest challenges when we work together to uplift one another.
