Happy Labor Day, John!

Today, we are reminded that workers have always been the backbone of this country. Here are just a few things for which we have the labor movement to thank:

• Weekends
• The 40-hour work week
• Health care & sick leave
• Workplace safety protections
• Minimum wage

For all of these contributions and more, we owe working families an economy with more and better jobs, higher wages, and increased safety for every worker – especially as corporate greed runs rampant, and corporations continue exploiting loopholes to undermine workers’ rights at every turn.

You can count on me to always fight for a future that ensures a full day's pay for an honest day's work, fair treatment in the workplace, equal opportunity, and shared prosperity for everyone.
