John,

To be honest, February is a tough fundraising month for most campaigns. It’s winter, and folks are hunkered down from the snow. What’s especially tough for us is that now that the Iowa Caucuses are over, a lot of the attention on our race has gone away.

While the presidential candidates were in Iowa, they sought out J.D.’s support and advice on how to earn the trust of Iowans. They stumped with him, called him for guidance, and dropped his name at events. And the press covered it every step of the way.

Now, the attention has moved away from Iowa -- but our focus is still on our district and how we can deliver positive, real results for Iowans.

Can you help our campaign stay strong? We need to raise $12,000 by the end of the month -- chip in $5 or whatever you can to help us hit our goal.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

J.D.’s heart is in Iowa. He left the state to play baseball, but when his Grandma Fern told him to come home and take care of the farm, he knew she was right.

He’s in this fight because this is home. His family, friends, and neighbors are facing grocery store closures. A changing climate is affecting our land, water, and profits. Hospitals are offering fewer services. There's a lack of affordable child care -- and so much more.

Rural communities are suffering right now, John, so it’s time to do something about it.

Electing J.D. will mean electing a lifelong Iowan with strong values and a deep desire to build a positive future for Iowans.

Help us bring it home -- pitch in before the end of the month to help us meet our goal.

Thanks for joining us in this fight -- we need you.
