Happy Labor Day, John!

My mom was a public school teacher and MEA member. Among so many other things, she taught me the importance of hard work and how unions helped build the Michigan economy and establish the rights of our working families. Labor Day is a perfect opportunity to honor the legacy of the workers' rights movement in our country.

In these tough times, workers need the power of organizing more than ever. I am proud to stand with working families and support the right to organize. I've fought for working families throughout my career, and I continue that advocacy in Congress.
