The movement for workers’ justice is diverse and dynamic. It is young,
old, queer, Black, brown, disabled, indigenous, and liberated.
And on Labor Day, we say with one voice that every worker deserves a
living wage, a safe workplace, and to be treated with dignity.
There is no such thing as unskilled labor — only those in power who try to
devalue our work and our contributions. I’m proud today to stand shoulder
to shoulder with the workers of the SAG-AFTRA Union, in solidarity with
their strike for fundamental protections and fair working conditions.
The members of SAG-AFTRA bring to life the stories that entertain us,
educate us, compel us, and stoke our consciousness. They represent
hundreds of thousands of workers in communities across the country.
Like every worker, they deserve working conditions that reflect the value
of their livelihoods and their lives.

Day, by making a $3 donation to their strike fund?
Unions have demonstrated throughout our nation's history that when we
organize, we win. Our collective movement for economic justice is
intersectional, inclusive, and powerful.
Together, we will continue to push for policies and conditions that
reflect the humanity of every single worker in our country.
Thank you for your solidarity,
Ayanna
