Happy Labor Day!

Plaskett for Congress

Hey friends, happy Labor Day!

Today we remember the amazing men and women - and particularly the Black women - who built the Labor movement.

Inspirations like Lucy Parsons who played a significant role in the fight for the eight-hour workday and Hattie Canty who was one of the greatest strike leaders in American history showed us what we can accomplish when we organize together for more pay, better working conditions, and equal rights in the workplace.

Black women continue to have the highest labor force participation rate, yet we still face a significant pay gap and racial discrimination at the workplace.

Lucy and Hattie would want us to organize and get to work! So in their honor, will you please sign our petition to pass the Equal Pay Act today?

Have a great Labor Day!
