Happy Labor Day! We hope you spend this day in rest — and in solidarity with the workers who’ve made so much possible for all of us.

Here at Ground Game Texas, we are clear that our work follows a long organizing tradition that comes out of movements for civil rights and worker rights.

In the last two years, we’ve been honored to partner with labor organizations like the Texas AFL-CIO and La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) to organize city campaigns for a $15 per hour minimum wage in the Rio Grande Valley. And we continue to strategize with labor leaders to develop campaigns that are responsive to the needs of Texas workers.

If you have any union members in your life, please give them some love today. Like the saying goes, if you are enjoying your long weekend, thank a union.

We at Ground Game Texas send our thanks and appreciation for all the workers who have fought for civil and human rights, who have sacrificed for our shared prosperity, and who have given life to our dream of democracy.
