It’s Labor Day today. I am proud of our country’s long history of supporting working families—and a large part of that lies in the power of organized labor.

From minimum wage to weekends off to safe workplace conditions – worker’s advocates through history have brought essential change to our way of life.

When workers are protected our economy and our communities are protected. That’s why this Labor Day I am asking you to join me in pledging to stand with workers. Will you sign my petition today?

  Crucial to a strong democracy is an empowered workforce. We’ve come a long way, but there is still a lot of work to be done and I pledge to continue my support for Sacramento County’s working families as they strive to keep making ends meet.
