​ It’s Labor Day, a day to celebrate the hard-working Americans who, within the labor movement, fought to improve the lives of millions of workers.

Benefits such as retirement plans, sick leave, set working hours, health plans, and so much more are due to the hard work of generations of Americans who would not accept anything less.

I’m proud to have helped pass the Inflation Reduction Act, legislation that has already resulted in KS-03 adding the most clean energy jobs in the nation, as well as the Chips and Science Act to improve American manufacturing.

As your representative in Congress, standing up for working families will continue to be my top priority.

Growing up, my mother was a union steward for the American Postal Workers Union. I know the importance of fighting for everyone to earn a livable wage and have better working conditions. I will always stand with the working families of KS-03 as we strive to create opportunity & prosperity for our communities.
