Dear Friends:
On Labor Day, we uplift America’s union workers, the heart of our economy and the foundation of our nation’s greatness and strength!
Democrats honor the legacy of the Labor Movement and the ongoing pursuit for justice as we recommit to fighting side-by-side for fairness in our economy on behalf of America’s working families.
I am particularly thankful for the labor leaders who make San Francisco a proud union town and make America greater every day.
The Labor Movement helped President Biden and our Democrats in Congress deliver the strongest labor market in over 50 years for the American people — with more than 30 months of consecutive job growth.
Our American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act that you made possible helped us build back 9 million lost jobs, create 4.5 million more jobs, and cut the unemployment rate in half — and we’re not done yet!
After decades of corporations shipping jobs overseas, Democrats are bringing them home — creating good-paying union jobs.
Labor Day is a day for justice. Every action on the strike line brings us closer to labor justice. So, we will always champion the right to organize — and we will insist on decency and dignity at work.
A strong middle class has a union label on it and a strong middle class is the backbone of our Democracy. Thank you all for your patriotism, with special thanks to the more than 1.2 million working veterans who are union members!
Together, we will overcome the challenges ahead because: we don’t agonize, we organize, and we unionize!
God bless you all this Labor Day and may God bless America.
