I want to take this Labor Day to honor ALL workers. 

From caretakers, to teachers, farmworkers, nurses and construction crews  – unionized professionals are the very heartbeat of California's economy. Their collective voice champions improved wages, better working conditions and the rights of millions each and every day.

I grew up in a union family. My mother was a member of the California Nurses Association who fought for better working conditions and safer patient ratios. I steadfastly believe in the principle of "unions for all." 

In the State Assembly, I will continue to ensure every worker's right to organize because it’s not just fundamental – it’s truly essential for our workers, our families and the health of our economy.
