JOHN, we just wanted to wish you a happy Labor Day from all of us here at Clean Energy Democrats!

This Labor Day, let us honor the workers who organized to improve working conditions across the country, as well as celebrate our recent victories to pave the way for historic developments of clean energy infrastructure, built by union workers.

A little over a year since the Inflation Reduction Act, we have already seen the creation of 170,000 new clean energy jobs, and it is projected to create more than 1.5 million additional jobs over the next decade. This transition away from fossil fuels is putting us on a path to reduce emissions by 50-52% below 2005 levels by 2030.

If we want to create a safer planet for generations to come, we need to focus on good-paying, union jobs in clean manufacturing. This is not only life-saving but directly powers our nation’s workforce.
