Today we share our appreciation for all those who fought for higher wages and better working conditions, who collectively bargained and proudly took to the picket lines, to demand fairness for workers.
And we can’t think of a better way to recognize and celebrate the contributions of the labor movement than by supporting the workers who are still fighting for better working conditions right now.
The fight for women’s rights and workers’ rights are connected, because not only does Starbucks employ hundreds of thousands of people, but more than two thirds of baristas are women.
In solidarity with Starbucks employees fighting for union representation, we’re encouraging supporters to RSVP and join tomorrow’s zoom meeting in preparation for the next Day of Action on September 14th. Will we see you on the call tomorrow?
Unions are essential to protecting and expanding workers’ rights and a critical xxxxxx against corporate greed, workplace discrimination and harassment, and unfair labor practices.
That’s why we're calling on allies and supporters to join in the fight.
Tomorrow’s meeting is going to give you the tools and the information you need to make the most of the September 14th Day of Action in support of striking Starbucks workers.
If you’d like to join us for tomorrow’s call and support the Starbucks workers fighting for their rights, please RSVP here:
Women’s March is proud to support our allies striving in support of a higher idea that there is dignity in all work, and that workplaces need to reflect that.
Thank you for being a part of the fight, John.
