Happy Labor Day!

Today is about “Out of Office” messages, catching some sun with loved
ones, and maybe enjoying a hot dog (or two!)

But today's well-deserved day-off is also a reminder of our commitment to
working people in our district and across the country.

We support the rights of workers to form unions, to bargain for fair wages
and safer work conditions, and to speak out in the face of injustice.

And in a rapidly-changing work environment where technology presents new
opportunities and challenges, we must not lose sight of those who show up
every day to make our great district run smoothly.

So whether you are headed to the beach or a Labor Day parade, we urge you
to take a moment to remember the long road it took to get here and the
work that lies ahead to make sure the rights of working peoples are
protected and reinforced.

Stay safe, hydrated, and grateful!
