Happy Labor Day!
Today, as we celebrate the hardworking people who power our nation, I want to take a moment to reflect on the importance of supporting labor and workers’ rights.
In Minnesota’s 8th District, we have a choice to make. We can continue to be represented by Pete Stauber, who claims to support labor but consistently votes against workers. Or, we can choose a true champion of labor, someone who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to workers and their rights - me, Jen Schultz.
Let’s look at the facts:
Stauber voted NO on the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act , which expanded labor protections for workers trying to organize. He also voted against the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill , which has made investments in our communities and created jobs. Even worse, he took credit for the community investment projects after voting against them. It’s clear he is NOT on the side of workers.
In contrast, I received a 100% AFL-CIO voting record. I am a proud member of a union and have been fighting for workers throughout my entire career. I will continue to do so in Washington. Unlike Stauber, who consistently votes against labor, I stand with you.
This Labor Day, let’s remember that actions speak louder than words. Please help us spread the word and let people, especially our union members, know the truth about Stauber’s voting record. Together, we can ensure that we are represented by someone who is truthful and stands with labor.
