Friends,

Labor Day is here, and it’s a perfect time to look beyond barbecues and long weekends. The significance of this day carries the weight of historical struggles and progress, and serves as a reminder of the hard-fought battles the labor movement waged to secure fair and safe working conditions, reasonable hours, and human rights.

Labor Day provides us with an opportunity to pause and recognize the contributions of workers to our society and economy and appreciate the collective effort that drives progress and prosperity.

It's important to acknowledge that while we’ve come a long way, challenges like income inequality and workers’ rights persist. Reflecting on these issues deepen our understanding of the complex interplay between labor, the economy, and our society.

This Labor Day let’s renew our commitment to safe, fair, just workplaces, and fair wages for American workers.

Thanks for reading,

— Jim
