Happy Labor Day, John!

Today is a day to celebrate American workers, honor organized labor’s hard-fought victories in the past, and recommit ourselves to the work ahead to make Pennsylvania a place where the doors of opportunity are open to everyone.

For centuries, Pennsylvania workers have fought for fairer wages and better conditions – and I’m thrilled with the progress we’ve made so far to invest in workforce training programs and ensure our unions have the skilled workforce they need. As long as I’m your Governor, Pennsylvania will never be a right to work state.

But there’s still work to be done.

From creating more good-paying union jobs to making it easier for workers to raise a family and have a successful career, I will never stop fighting to guarantee every Pennsylvanian has access to real freedom and real opportunity.

As Governor, you can count on me to fight for unions and working families every single day.
