Hi John -- Joe here.
Happy Labor Day! I hope you and your loved ones have been able to enjoy the long weekend – something brought to us thanks to the power of labor unions.
Weekends, 40 hour work-weeks, and the minimum wage are just a few of the ways organized labor has made our country a more fair and more just place.
As Mayor, I know that Indianapolis is a union town, and I'm proud of it! It's an honor to have the endorsements of so many labor unions including auto workers, firefighters, and carpenters, among other union workers.
Labor unions have contributed so much to Indianapolis and I look forward to working with them hand-in-hand to make our city stronger. I know our city is at its best when it works for working folks.
Thank you,
Mayor Joe Hogsett
