Labor Day is a time for us to celebrate the American Labor Movement and the economic and social achievements of the American worker.

We should take time to honor all of the workers in the past and present who have contributed so much to our country. We’ve come a long way, but much more progress still needs to be made.
I have always steadfastly advocated for unions and working families across the state. As Comptroller, one of my goals has been ensuring every worker has a fair shot on a level playing field. Today, I’m recommitting myself to this goal. We can all work together in many ways to continue fighting for fair wages and safe and healthy workplaces.
I hope you and your family have a safe and restful Labor Day!
My very best,
(She, Her, Hers)
