My friend,



This Labor Day, I hope you will join me in taking time to think about the
hard-working Americans who built our country and those, like you, who continue
to build it today.



While we are forever in debt to those like George Washington and Benjamin
Franklin who founded this nation, we must also remember the millions of average
Americans who worked tirelessly – inside and outside the home – to earn a
living, care for their family and to create the country we love.



For me, Labor Day is recognition that the conservative principles of hard
work, individual liberty and personal responsibility get results. They work
every time.



As your member of Congress, I will always fight to protect hard-working
Wisconsinites so that they can live the life they deserve.
