Hey John,

In case you missed it, Will recently joined Symone Sanders on MSNBC to talk about his campaign to flip California’s 41st District.

Take a few minutes to watch the full interview here.

It’s encouraging to see our race picking up some national attention over the last few weeks -- and for a number of reasons.

Will turned heads with how strongly he performed against Ken Calvert last election cycle. He was the only Democratic challenger in California to win Independent voters, and he did it by attracting support from across the political spectrum. That’s huge, and it’s something we’re going to build on in 2024.

That, combined with Will’s early fundraising momentum, led analysts at the Cook Political Report to move us to a “Toss Up” -- putting CA-41 squarely in the middle of the battleground for House control.

Our opponent Calvert also attracted negative attention for dragging our community into the Republicans’ culture wars. He voted to strike down over $3 million in earmarks for projects providing services to the LGBTQ+ community, including meals for seniors. It was a political stunt that completely backfired – especially here in Palm Springs.

What happens in CA-41 has national implications. Not only do we have a great chance to send Ken Calvert packing, but winning this race could relegate other far-right extremists back into the minority.

There’s no doubt this will be one the most competitive and closely watched races in the country. That’s why I’m doing my part to make sure we’re prepared and running the strongest campaign possible. If you can, check out Will’s interview and then send in $3 to help us flip this seat.
