We are facing an unprecedented, historic moment for democracy. What’s more, MAGA extremists aren’t backing down from their efforts to roll back progress we have made together against all odds. 

There are so many moments from the last few years where it has felt like everything was on the line. When the Supreme Court voted to turn back the clock and overturn Roe v. Wade, a right afforded to Americans for nearly 50 years was stripped away. It horrified me to think that my daughters would have fewer rights than I did. So, while other states were restricting access and passing hateful laws, I vowed to fight like hell to protect our fundamental freedoms. You showed up in record numbers to fight like hell, too. And we won. 

For years, the collective power of your support and commitment to action has transformed countless lives in Michigan and across the country. 

But there’s more work to do. 

While others engaged in the business of bigotry, we’ve been fighting in Michigan to do things differently. We repealed the 1931 law banning abortion, expanded LGBTQ+ rights, signed gun safety laws, repealed the retirement tax, and boosted the Working Families Tax Credit. And we’re not stopping there.

This is a moment when our fight must stretch beyond Michigan and reach the entire country. That’s why we’re launching Fight Like Hell PAC — to bring our fight for fundamental freedoms nationwide.
