If you’ve been keeping up with the news, you’ll know: There are rumors of a government shutdown on the horizon.

The House GOP, and especially the far-right Trump side of the House GOP, are pushing the government to shutdown unless they’re able to make their radical agenda a reality through a bill that funds the government.

That’s bad news.

It is our opinion that the House should do their job, pass a spending bill that can get through the Senate, and get it signed by the President. The American public at large agrees.

They don’t see it that way. At least not yet.

That’s where we come in.

One of the things that VoteVets can do better than just about any organization is mobilize men and women who have served our country, and get them to take action.

And something we can do here is bring a bunch of our Veterans to DC, have them visit Congressional offices, and demand action. We can’t tolerate this brinkmanship. It weakens the country. It makes us more vulnerable to our adversaries. It’s just bad. Period.
