John,
We’re in the midst of a “hot labor summer” with workers demanding fair pay with benefits.
UPS workers have won a new union contract. Hollywood writers and actors are on strike. Autoworkers are preparing to strike later this month if their demands are not met, and now 99% of American Airlines flight attendants have voted to authorize a strike.
But, even as workers fight for their rights and wages, they’re being met with massive opposition from greedy union-busting corporations who put shareholder and CEO profits ahead of their employees. But it’s their workers who are responsible for the billions of dollars these corporations are raking in.
That’s why, together, we’re fighting back against attempts to roll back child labor laws. That’s why we’re demanding the Senate confirm President Biden’s National Labor Relations Board nominee so the NLRB continues to have a quorum and is able to hold corporate bad actors accountable.
It’s why we’re demanding Congress pass the PRO Act to strengthen workers’ right to form a union. It’s why we’re demanding Congress renew the now-expired expanded Earned Income Tax Credit to reach 17 million low-wage workers. And it’s why we fight for safety protections, fair labor standards, and, at long last, an increase in the federal minimum wage.
We’re fighting for an economy that puts low-income and working people first. Pitch in this Labor Day weekend to power our campaigns to strengthen workers’ rights and wages.
DONATE NOW
Right now, we have a tax system that values wealth and corporate profits over workers’ wages. That’s why many millionaires and billionaires get away with paying little to nothing in federal income taxes year after year, and working people are paying higher tax rates than billion dollar corporations.
Together, let’s fight for the rights and wages of low-income and working people everywhere. Pitch in this Labor Day weekend to fund our campaigns to win.

Corporations spend millions of dollars on high-priced lobbyists to protect their profits. Far too few working people have unions to fight for fair pay, working conditions, and benefits. We need to join in the fight for worker justice.
Thank you for all that you do to build a future that includes all of us, not just the wealthy few.
