Marjorie Taylor Greene throws huge fit after White House claps back at her impeachment threats
Marjorie Taylor Greene took to the platform formerly known as Twitter to bitterly complain about the White House "attacking her" when all she did was vow to shut down the government unless Biden is impeached. "The White House is attacking me!" griped Greene in an unhinged and incoherent rant. “We have the evidence they have desperately been trying to hide to just ask the question!" If she doesn't like the White House's response, Marjorie should take the advice of her fellow Georgian, Lil'Jon, who famously pointed out that if you "don't start no shit, won't be no shit!"

With DeSantis absent, Biden surveys storm damage in Florida
The real-life Disney villain was apparently too busy trying to bail out his rapidly sinking presidential campaign to make even an appearance as the President of the United States toured the wreckage from Hurricane Idalia and gave comfort to the victims. Biden had the last laugh, as he so often does, remarking that nobody "intelligent" could doubt that climate change was happening — which DeSantis very publicly did during the debate just last week.

DeSantis’ redistricting map in Florida is unconstitutional and must be redrawn, judge says
In one of the most egregious examples of racist GOP gerrymandering, DeSantis attempted to draw Democratic U.S. Rep. Al Lawson out of a job by splitting his district up between neighboring conservative districts after personally vetoing the map presented to him by his own Republican legislature. Thankfully, the judge was having none of it and swiftly dealt the white supremacist governor an embarrassing rebuke.

New York police will use drones to monitor backyard parties this weekend, spurring privacy concerns
In a breathtaking violation of the right to privacy, the NYPD announced nonchalantly that they'll be spying on Labor Day parties from aerial drones in the kind of Big Brother-in-the-sky style surveillance that the Gestapo could only dream of. We thought this was America!

Burning Man attendees advised to "shelter in place," conserve food and water due to heavy rain
In a most totally bogus turn of events, a deluge of rain has struck the Burning Man art and music festival, turning the ground to mud, closing the airport and leaving thousands of hippies, burners, ravers, and vampiric tech bro posers stranded in the desert. While this is definitely super lame and a real bummer, one attendee said that "we don't need outside help. We're going to bind together, get radically self-reliant, dry out the furniture, and keep the party going." Hell yeah, brother!
Neo-Nazis march through Florida park
A large group of neo-Nazis wearing red and waving flags with swastikas marched through Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on Saturday shouting “we are everywhere," and performing Hitler salutes. They've been growing bolder in recent months in the absence of any kind of response whatsoever from Governor DeSantis, who clearly doesn't seem to mind literal neo-Nazis spreading terror throughout his state. Apparently "never again" means nothing anymore in the white supremacist theocracy of Florida.

AOC urges US to apologize for meddling in Latin America: "We’re here to reset relationships"
Speaking after a visit to Chile ahead of the 50th anniversary of the US-backed coup against democratically elected socialist president Salvador Allende, AOC called for an apology to all of Latin America for the decades of American meddling in the region, which has included installing dictators, covering up massacres, arming death squads, and committing heinous acts of violence. “It’s very hard for us to move forward when there is this huge elephant in the room and a lack of trust due to that elephant in the room. The first step around that is acknowledgment and saying we want to approach this region in the spirit of mutual respect, and I think that’s new and it’s historic.” America must reckon with its blood-soaked past in order to move on and forge a brighter future.
Billionaires want to build a new city in rural California. They must convince voters first
Turns out a bunch of tech billionaires who have been secretly buying up all the land in Solano County, California want to build a utopian city for just themselves and their servants! What could go wrong?
