John, Josh’s far-right opponent has discovered that North Carolina voters oppose his extremist positions (shocker!) — so now, he’s trying to pull a fast one.

Mark Robinson apparently thinks that if he simply backtracks on his most radical statements, we’ll forget he ever made them.

No way!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let us remind you where Mark Robinson REALLY stands (even if he claims differently now):

❌ If elected Governor, Mark Robinson would sign a total abortion ban, no exceptions.

Here’s what he said word for word:

“If I had all the power right now, say I was the governor and had a willing legislature, we could pass a bill right now that says you can’t get an abortion in North Carolina for any reason.” - Mark Robinson, WSIC Radio Talk Show

Now, Robinson says that he doesn’t recall making those comments.

❌ If he had control over our public education system, Robinson would stop teaching social studies and science in elementary school.

As he wrote in his book:

“In those grades, we don’t need to be teaching social studies. We don’t need to be teaching science … That’s the course I would set it in North Carolina.” - Mark Robinson, We Are The Majority: The Life and Passions of a Patriot

As for Robinson’s position now? He claims it’s “not true” that he wants to get rid of history and science in elementary schools.

❌ Robinson called public school teachers “wicked people.”

While encouraging his supporters to pull their kids out of the public education system, Robinson said:

“Do not turn your children over to these wicked people. Do not.” - Mark Robinson, July 2023 speech

But in August, he told supporters at a Rotary Club speech that he wanted “all those teachers out there and all those educators out there to know, we are on your side.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John, apparently Mark Robinson wants you to forget that he’s the most extreme, most dangerous candidate in this race — but he’s shown us who he is, and we believe him. And we won’t let him get away with saying that he didn’t say what he actually said.

Most importantly, we CANNOT allow Mark Robinson to become our next Governor.

Josh urgently needs your help to take on Robinson’s radicalism and protect our state. Rush in your first contribution today to DEFEAT Mark Robinson! [[link removed]]

Let’s do this,

Team Stein

Mark Robinson is the Republican lieutenant governor of North Carolina.
He is a right-wing extremist who speaks hate, sparks division, and fans the flames of bigotry.
A New York Times profile about him was titled “Anti-Gay? Anti-Science? Antisemitic? Run for Governor of North Carolina!”
Yet, he is the leading GOP candidate for Governor in 2024.
