Hi John,

Last week, members of the House Intel Committee were briefed by intelligence officials on Russia’s efforts to meddle in the upcoming election. Not only does Russia plan to interfere in the general election but in the Democratic primaries, too. Democrats in the House have passed several measures to secure our elections and safeguard our democracy, including bills I cosponsored like H.R. 1 (the For The People Act) and the SHIELD Act. Both of these bills are waiting for a vote in the Senate, but Mitch McConnell refuses to bring them for a vote.

I believe that the American people should determine who wins our elections, not foreign countries. We have an obligation to protect our democracy.
