But, as extreme weather events continue with increasing frequency, conspiracy theorists have been using this as an opportunity to spread disinformation online and deny climate change even exists.
Ironically, the more extreme the weather event gets, the more conspiracy theorists dig in on their lies denying climate change. And these lies are especially dangerous when we’re trying to lower greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption.
