New reports from the County of Maui estimate that at least 10 square miles of Maui’s 735 square mile area were burned in the wildfires.

And while heroic first-responders are on the ground to provide resources and support, the road to recovery for Maui is still daunting:

 

Over 1,000 people are without power.
Nearly 2,000 people are seeking shelter.
At least 200 people are still missing.
And at least 115 people have lost their lives.
