Do you think all people should have access to safe, affordable housing?

John, housing is a basic human right – but devastatingly, this is not a right that is shared by everyone in America.

With the United States facing a shortage of more than 7 million affordable homes available to low-income renters and 582,000 Americans experiencing homelessness, our housing crisis has reached dire levels.

John, I know what it's like to struggle and constantly worry about making the next rent payment.

As a single mom, my two boys and I lived paycheck to paycheck and on public assistance. I remember the constant stress of what would happen if I wasn't able to make ends meet – and it devastates me to know that millions of other families are feeling that same way now.

But things don't have to be this way. That's why I'm proud to have co-sponsored the Housing for All Act, which would invest in proven solutions to address affordable housing shortages in California and across the country.

But with House Republicans passing their own bill to GUT vital affordable housing and homelessness programs, I must show the true strength of this movement. I need at least 5,000 people to respond before midnight tonight, so please tell me ASAP:

Do you think all people should have access to safe, affordable housing?

Thank you for your response.
