It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
I hope you will join me in sending prayers for House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. On Tuesday, he announced that he has been diagnosed with blood cancer, but doctors detected it early and gave him a good prognosis. I have no doubt that he will approach this battle with the same resolve that he brings to the halls of Congress every day. Our thoughts are with him and his family, and we await the day he returns stronger than ever.
I had the privilege of participating in MCCL's Life Leadership Camp, where I spoke to the students about the art of persuasively championing the cause of life through engaging in meaningful conversations. It's heartening to see the dedication and enthusiasm of these young minds as they embrace the responsibility of becoming the next generation of pro-life advocates and leaders. Their passion gives me hope for a future where the value of life and the rights of unborn babies everywhere are cherished and defended.
I hope that you are enjoying your holiday weekend. I’d like to recognize the hardworking men and women in the trades for whom this weekend is dedicated. As I travel around the district, at every stop from north to south, I hear about workforce shortages. It’s why I have been and will continue to work on programs that better align our educational outcomes with the jobs and skills needed by industry and businesses. Thank you to everyone who puts in the hard work every day to make our lives better!
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support!
With gratitude,
