☀️Let me brighten up your weekend, Friend!
Millions of immigrants from all over the world have made New York City their home, and we continue to welcome new people to our city with open arms every day.
One of the coolest projects I’ve seen this summer is the Asylum Seeker Bike Program, which will give 200 bikes, helmets, and locks to newly arrived asylum seekers!
Want to learn more about the project? Check out our IG post and share it with your friends and followers to spread some positive vibes this weekend!

In such a large city like NYC, having transportation is key to accessing jobs, running errands, or just exploring your new neighborhood. 🚲 One of the participants shared that travel by bike is super common where he’s from in Haiti, so he was excited to be welcomed with a gift that reminded him of home.
No matter what you’ve heard about New Yorkers, I’ve seen how our communities come through to support one another when institutions fail us!
