The Delgado Dispatch

Friend,

I hope you are having a wonderful day. I wanted to make sure that I shared our latest work representing the folks of NY-19 before the month is over.

We held our 35th town hall in Claverack, where we were lucky enough to be joined by a couple hundred constituents, all eager to participate in the democratic process.

To those of you that came to our past events to share your stories, thank you. If you've yet to make it to one of our events, please come and have your voice heard -- and if you can't, please reach out to our team to make sure we have an opportunity to learn from you!

From introducing the Gateways to Careers Act so students can complete schooling and job training, to improving high-speed broadband access for all rural communities, to empowering our neighborhoods with smart investments in infrastructure, to fighting for clean drinking water, I will always work for you.

To tackle these challenges effectively, we need to continue hearing from our friends and neighbors to shape meaningful policies that reflect your lived experiences. I am committed to being accessible, transparent, and accountable to our community.

The road ahead of us is long and arduous, but I'm confident that we can continue to better our future by working together.

Thank you for taking time to hear from me.

With love,

Antonio

Yesterday NOAA announced that last month was the warmest January ever recorded. The evidence that our climate is changing is undeniable & we have a moral imperative to address this threat with the urgency it demands.

It is deeply alarming to see an increase in the suicide rate for young veterans aged 18 to 34. Supporting our veterans is a top priority of mine, and I am ready to work alongside our community partners to address this urgent issue.

I’m encouraged to see the EPA take steps to determine drinking water standards for PFOA & PFOS, but this process needs to move faster. I've followed up with the EPA urging a timeline for setting an MCL & I'll keep pushing for accountability.

Applications for the New York State Farm to School Institute are now open. Schools can apply any time before March 15. Learn more about this program designed to support our small farmers & schools here:
