I’ll come right out and say it, John: Team Wilson fell short of its end-of-month fundraising goal.

To be honest, this isn’t the news I wanted to deliver today. Falling short of these goals usually means cutting campaign expenses across the board, which is not what we want to do with voters heading to the polls in just a few weeks.

But there is some good news: We still have a chance to make up some lost ground before our huge filing deadline on Monday. If we can close the gap and hit our targets for the next three days, we’ll be right back on track heading into the final weeks of the primary!

And look, I know we’ve asked for a lot of support lately, but we wouldn’t ask if we didn’t have to. Shawn is running a campaign for working Louisianans, and that’s exactly who he’s counting on to help him hit these campaign goals and win this high-stakes governor’s race.
