An "election integrity" group and votersappealeda federal court dismissal of a lawsuit — which sought to overturn California laws permitting universal mail-in voting, online voter registration, community ballot collection and more — to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appealsdeclinedto rehear a case challenging Kentucky's process that arbitrarily dictates which individuals with a previous felony conviction will regain the right to vote. Previously, the court affirmed a decision that dismissed the lawsuit.
Nonprofit civil rights organization CASA and York County, Pennsylvaniareachedan agreement for the county to provide Spanish-language voting materials and assistance in elections through 2028. Previously, York County only provided election materials in English.
The U.S. Department of Justice has investigatedover 2,000 reports of threats and harassment against election workers since 2021. More than a dozen people have been charged with threatening election workers.
Alabama state Rep. David Cole (R) resigned from the Legislature after being arrested and charged with voter fraud.
