John, today we’re sharing the stories of three children from across the globe where learning looks very different:
Despite growing up surrounded by political instability, poverty and the long-term effects of earthquakes and hurricanes, Rebongy is excited to start school this year. Education is the strongest tool we have to help kids build a ladder out of poverty, and your support helps his family afford school fees, uniforms and other supplies.
Conner lives in a small, rural Tennessee community where, outside of school, there aren’t a lot of activities to keep kids engaged. With your generous support, we provide summer learning and after-school programs where Conner can interact with other children and engage in fun learning activities.
Every morning, Ratana takes a boat from her floating house to her floating school on Tonlé Sap Lake in Cambodia. Along the way, she picks up friends, and they work together to clear litter from the lake. Your generosity ensures we can continue supporting schools like Ratana’s in some of the world’s most remote communities.
Rebongy, Conner and Ratana are just three of the millions of children around the world who need your generous support today, John. We set a back-to-school goal to reach 250 donations by midnight tonight to support children in need of an education, food and safety, and we would love for you to give.
