The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
Domestic Energy Tour with Reps. Rosendale and Crane
This week, I joined my colleagues Rep. Rosendale (MT-02) and Rep. Crane (AZ-02) on an energy tour in Montana. We toured mines, refineries, and hydropower plants to learn more about domestic energy production and its importance to our economy and national security.
The Stillwater Mine is the only palladium mine in the United States. Domestic production of critical minerals is essential for reduced reliance on foreign actors and, ultimately, American energy independence.
We also toured the Yellowtail Dam and Power Plant. Yellowtail averages nearly a million kilowatt-hours annually–that’s enough to supply electricity to 80,000 homes! Utilizing hydropower helps to lower electricity costs across the nation.
Biden's Border Crisis Rages On
Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas have allowed record numbers of illegal aliens and drugs into our nation through our open southern border. Their nonexistent enforcement of our immigration laws have devastating effects on communities in AZ-05 and across the nation.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona charged 22 people with the intent to smuggle illegal aliens into the country. The criminals used social media to recruit our teens and young adults to do their dirty work for them. The Border Crisis is devastating to communities on countless levels.
The FBI is scrambling to identify more than a dozen Uzbek migrants who illegally entered our country with the help of a criminal with ties to ISIS. We have no national security thanks to the Biden Administration’s open borders.
Alejandro Mayorkas has willfully neglected his duties as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security to protect American citizens from foreign threats. He has consistently lied about the state of our border, and he must be held accountable. I was the first Representative to introduce Articles of Impeachment against Mayorkas. You can read the most recent Articles here.
Two-Tiered Justice on Full Display
This week, the Oversight Committee continued their investigation into the Biden Family Crime Syndicate through reports of then-VP Joe Biden’s misuse of Air Force 2. Recent reports indicate that Joe Biden allowed his son to travel with him to at least 15 countries on official business. This information, along with Devon Archer’s testimony describing the “Biden Brand,” strongly indicates that Joe Biden has known about, and been complicit in, his son’s corrupt foreign business deals for years.
The FBI’s attempts to stonewall congressional investigations into Hunter Biden and his business partners only add to what we’ve known for a long time. Our Department of Justice has created and continues to enforce a two-tiered justice system favoring those holding left-wing ideology. The protection of the Biden Family Crime Syndicate and political persecution of Donald Trump corroborate Oversight Republicans’ beliefs.
Last week, I introduced a bill to defund the Fulton County DA’s Office for their political prosecution of Donald Trump. Corrupt DA’s should have no access to federal funds when they actively participate in two-tiered justice.
The bill text can be read here.
