We had to double check our calendars, friend!
This February is a little different from the last few, being a leap year. And we know this movement is ready to leap into action throughout 2020 – as we keep Canada moving forward, prepare for the 2020 Liberal National Convention, grow our team for the next election campaign, and of course: meet our fundraising goals to make it all possible!
With a whole extra day this leap year, it means we’re able to set an extra-ambitious $200,000 end-of-February online fundraising goal, and we need your help to make sure we meet it.
Together, we’re working to build a better future for all Canadians. This week, new Statistics Canada figures confirmed that more than 1 million Canadians have been lifted out of poverty since 2015 – including more than 334,000 children and 73,000 seniors. We’re lowering taxes again for the middle class (which will benefit nearly 20 million Canadians), we’re taking real action to fight climate change and protecting a clean environment, and we’re taking important steps towards implementing national universal pharmacare.
But there’s still much more hard work ahead of us. We need to make every day count, and that’s why setting and reaching each fundraising goal is so important. So what do you say, friend – are you ready to leap into action and support our progress for Canadians?
