Hello John,
Whether our backyards are freeways or forests, we all rely on energy to keep us safe from hurricanes, wildfire smoke, and extreme heat. We know that air conditioning is essential on the hottest days of summer, and the importance of light when the sun goes down.
But greedy power company executives and their shareholders are choosing profits over people in a centralized energy model. They leave us with blackouts from New York to New Mexico, and life-threatening wildfires that make it hard to breathe from California to Hawaiʻi.
Together, we’re standing up to say that we’ve had enough! Join us on September 12, 2023 for a conversation with activists on the ground in Puerto Rico who are building a new kind of energy model. They’re reimagining a system for our communities that affirms renewable, reliable energy as a human right. And now, they’re calling on folks to demand access to the energy needed to live through the seasons, from the Caribbean to the coasts of Alaska.
