This isn't the news I wanted to share, but it's important to me that you stay in the loop: we fell short of our August fundraising goal.

I know this team gave it our all, and when we set ambitious goals we run the risk of coming up short — but we'll have to really step up our game in September to get back on track to invest in key campaign resources.
