The Minnesota Governor?s Council on Developmental Disabilities is pleased to announce a new video training series that explains the Waiver Bill or Rights (Minnesota Statute 245D.04) ?co-created with people with developmental disabilities. This 10 part video series begins with Dupree Edwards, hip hop artist and Council member, rapping about rights. His introduction is followed by nine skits co-created with people with developmental disabilities. The video scenarios illustrate freedom from maltreatment, right to communication privacy, right to courtesy, research or experimental treatment, right to have information, right to privacy, right to file complaints, right to friends and family, and knowing your services.
