Good afternoon,
This past Saturday, we were proud to have ADL lead the Jewish community participation in the 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington. As a co-chair of the March, we want to thank everyone who came to show their support with the King family and many other civil rights leaders. Our region was honored to have played a significant role in helping to organize this historic event.
I had the privilege of speaking alongside so many incredible civil rights leaders to voice our region’s need for a “multi-layered approach with our government, schools, and the community at-large” to tackle hate. You can view all the speeches from the march, including my own, on the ADL YouTube channel.
Hateful incidents of all kinds happen across the country and our region at alarming rates but together with our partners and partner organizations we have never been more prepared to tackle them. Be it a swastika in our schools or hateful flyers in our driveways, we are ready to respond. So many of you showed up to demonstrate that antisemitism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and all forms of hate have no home in our country and our region. This kind of solidarity is crucial in the fight for civil rights and against bigotry of all kinds. Thank you all for supporting our work and our mission, together we can fight hate for good.
