Friend, September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time to reflect and take action to support the 41% of LGBTQ young people who have seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year and show them that they deserve a welcoming world ready to support them.

Learning the warning signs of suicide is the first important step to identifying a loved one experiencing a moment of crisis and enabling connection to help if they need it. We encourage you to review our guide to ensure that you are able to identify the signs.

The 2023 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ Young People ([link removed]) showed the power of community and affirming spaces as having a positive impact on the mental health of LGBTQ young people.
