This is not the news I wanted to share with you today.

Last night, we came up 6% short of our August fundraising goal. This goal was crucial, Michele. Coming up short in August means we start this month in the hole. And now we are facing a setback going into the last month of the quarter.

So I am reaching out once again, to ask if you can help us close the gap.

Can you please contribute whatever you can afford to our movement today? Every dollar will help us continue funding and supporting changemaking candidates across the country.

When we set goals like this one, it's because that's the number we need to reach in order to have the resources to build a successful movement — one that will support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

Protecting the White House and Democratic Senate majority won't be easy. But there is too much at stake for us not to leave everything on the table.
