The government concluded that Biggs "served as an instigator and leader" and gave him a very hefty prison sentence of 17 years, while Rehl earned himself a cool 15 years for his actions during Trump's failed insurrection — which included pepper-spraying a cop and then perjuring himself 14 times trying to deny it. Couldn't have happened to nicer guys.

The jack-booted thugs who run the Border Patrol are at it again, this time caging innocent migrants outside in extreme temperatures with overflowing porta-potties and nothing more than scraps of cardboard to use as bedding to try and soften the hard, rocky ground. “This has been going on for a long time,” one of the officials told The Intercept. “Management is forcing us to violate these things that they should have — basic human necessities.”

Faced with a childcare crisis, Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin proposed a slew of bills to increase the pay of childcare providers and subsidize care for families struggling to pay the sky-high costs. Just kidding! No they didn't! Instead they proposed changing the rules to make overworked providers care for even larger groups of children and hiring teenagers they can underpay to do the work. Why is child labor the solution for basically EVERYTHING to these people?
