Imagine if you will, in an effort to reduce taxes, Republicans in the California legislature took to inviting protestors into the chambers, encouraging, even leading them, to wave signs, chant and otherwise disturb the regular order of business. Imagine if those same Republicans accused the Democrat super-majority of all sorts of heinousness, say anti-Semitism as an example. Imagine further that said Republicans were thrown out of the chamber for a day, justifiably so due to their shenanigans, and when they return tried to bait the Democrats into a physical confrontation and have them thrown out for a lack of decorum. Do you think the press would report that dispassionately? Or do you think the press would work overtime to paint the Republicans as malfeasants, or worse?
