Keeping Israel Safe: The Growing Terror Threat
Friend of Israel,

We appreciate your continued passion for America and Israel. In recent weeks, we have been monitoring crucial information about Israel, the U.S.-Israel relationship, and pro-Israel politics that you need to know.

Israel is facing a wave of Iranian-backed Palestinian terror which has killed 34 people this year — already more than any year since 2005.

We were horrified by the news of the passing of a 42-year-old kindergarten teacher and beloved mother of three, cruelly killed with her 12-year-old daughter sitting in the back seat of her car. We must not let this tragedy be forgotten. Take a moment and listen to her daughter’s deeply moving eulogy, in which she vowed to honor her mother's memory and remain strong:

“I love you. I promise you will always be in my heart. And my kids will know what a lioness mom I had."

This wasn’t the only family torn apart by a Palestinian terrorist. Just two days earlier, a father and his 28-year-old son were also shot and killed.

Horrifyingly, the families of the terrorists who carry out these brutal attacks will receive monthly stipends through the Palestinian Authority's heinous pay-for-slay program. Other Palestinians celebrated these attacks by handing out candies and sweets in the streets. Read about pay-for-slay and the Palestinian Authority’s incitement here.

Thank you for all you do to support our work and help keep Israel safe. Read on to stay informed about key updates related to the dynamic U.S.-Israel relationship.

24 Democratic House Members visit Israel

Earlier this month, 24 Democratic House members, including House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and 19 freshmen, traveled to Israel for a week-long educational seminar organized by AIEF, the charitable organization affiliated with AIPAC.

They received high-level briefings from senior IDF officers, toured Israel’s borders with Gaza and Lebanon, and met with Israeli civilians who live under the constant threat of Palestinian terrorist rocket fire. These members, many of whom were in Israel for the first time, saw firsthand how critical U.S. security assistance to Israel is.

plans to acquire three batteries of Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system with nearly 2,000 interceptor missiles.

Israel’s lifesaving Iron Dome system has intercepted thousands of rockets over its time in service, saving countless Israeli lives. Now, this system will help protect American troops around the world.

The adoption of this system by the U.S. Marine Corps is an important step forward in U.S.-Israel security cooperation and demonstrates the immense value of America’s ironclad partnership with the Jewish state.

Iran is a threat to Israel, America and our allies
Iran is helping Russia produce deadly weaponized drones for its war in Ukraine, just as the Iranian regime unveiled a new advanced attack drone that it claims can strike Israel. Iranian media published videos of the drone emblazoned with the text, in Hebrew and Persian: 'Prepare your shelters' and 'fire is on the way.'

Meanwhile, Iranian oil exports are hitting five-year highs, providing Tehran with significant resources that could be used to attack Americans and our allies, including Israel. It's estimated that Iran exported 2.2 million barrels a day of crude and condensates during the first three weeks of August, generating as much as $150 million a day from these sales to China.

Take action to defend the U.S.-Israel relationship in Congress

J Street supported the anti-Israel candidate.

This month, J Street sent multiple fundraising emails for anti-Israel Congresswoman Summer Lee's reelection campaign, calling her "a champion of J Street's core values," and hosted a fundraising event for her.

J Street helped Rep. Lee defeat a pro-Israel Democrat in 2022. Now she's joined the anti-Israel squad in Congress, backing legislation to add conditions on aid to Israel, boycotting Israeli President Herzog's address to Congress, and aligning herself with Israel's loudest critics.

Help AIPAC push back against these fringe anti-Israel voices by contributing to the Defeat the Squad Fund today.
