John, I am so excited to share this major update:
I recently requested over $31 million for New Mexico community projects — including renovating the Boys and Girls Club facility in Las Cruces, a food pantry in Hatch, and repaving I-10. Right now, all 15 projects have been allocated funding in the House! Negotiations are still ongoing, but in a Republican majority, I am proud of this work so far.
This was a big priority for me going into Congress. Our previous representative refused to request any federal community project funding and New Mexico’s 2nd district lost out on millions in investments.
But thanks to your help in 2022, we flipped this seat blue with 50.3% of the vote.
Now, we’re in a rematch next year in what is being called a toss-up race.
Here’s the catch: if this election was just about who fights harder for New Mexico, then we could win in a landslide. But Kevin McCarthy is all-in for my far-right extremist opponent and he’s just announced more attack ads against me. We’re competing with a landslide of negative advertising, and we need the resources to compete.
